Rabitabank Secures USD 7 Million from Enabling Qapital to Finance Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Rabitabank OJSC has secured USD 7 million in financial resources through cooperation with the international investment company Enabling Qapital, with the aim of expanding access to financing for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
The main purpose of the attracted funds is to support the financing of entrepreneurs operating in the micro and SME segment, promote their sustainable development, and contribute to the growth of the real sector and increased economic activity.
Under the new financial facility, the allocated funds are intended to improve access to credit resources for micro and small businesses, support their working capital and investment needs, and encourage new business initiatives and employment. The attracted funds will create additional opportunities for business expansion, increased production and service capacity, and the implementation of new investment projects. In addition, to strengthen protection against currency risks for both the bank and entrepreneurs, the funds will be provided to businesses in Azerbaijani manat using the hedging mechanism offered by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Chairman of the Management Board Aydin Huseynov noted that, according to the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 21, 2016, April 25 is marked annually in Azerbaijan as Entrepreneurs’ Day. He emphasized that this agreement is important in terms of expanding access to financial resources for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as supporting employment. Support for micro and small entrepreneurship is particularly important for inclusive economic development, increased business activity in the regions, and the creation of new jobs. In this regard, the attracted financial line is considered a strategically important cooperation not only for the bank but also for the real sector as a whole.
