Rabitabank obtains Visa International Payment System “Principal Member” status
“Rabitabank” OJSC has achieved another significant milestone in the international financial and payment ecosystem by officially obtaining the “Principal member” status of the Visa international payment system.
This status signifies Rabitabank’s transition to a direct partnership model with Visa, enabling the Bank to operate within the Visa network without the involvement of a sponsor bank. As a result, Rabitabank now has direct access to Visa’s global payment infrastructure, further strengthening its capabilities in card business operations, digital payment solutions, and international transaction services.
The Visa “Principal member” status provides Rabitabank with a range of strategic advantages. These include direct integration into Visa’s infrastructure, more agile and efficient management of payment operations, reduced dependency on intermediary institutions, faster introduction of next-generation card products to the market, and the expansion of innovative international payment solutions.
At the same time, this new status reinforces Rabitabank’s position within the international financial sector, elevates its strategic partnership with Visa to a new level, and enhances the Bank’s ability to participate directly in the global payments ecosystem.
In line with its “Comfortable banking” concept, Rabitabank continues to deliver innovative and customer-oriented solutions while further advancing its digital banking capabilities, card technologies, and modern payment services. Moving forward, the Bank aims to expand its international partnerships and continue offering customers more secure, faster, and innovative financial solutions.
