Rabitabank Appoints a New Head of Marketing Department
Rabitabank OJSC has announced a new executive appointment. By the decision of the Bank’s Management Board, Shami Aliyev has been appointed as the Head of the Marketing Department.
Shami Aliyev graduated from the Faculty of Legal Regulation of Economics at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). He later earned an MBA in Business Administration from the prestigious Texas A&M University (USA), gaining international expertise in strategic management, marketing, finance, and business development.
With nearly 16 years of professional experience in the banking and financial sector, Shami Aliyev began his career in the United States in 2010. Between 2010 and 2012, he held various positions at JPMorgan Chase and IBC Bank. Since 2012, he has held several leadership positions in Azerbaijan’s banking sector, specializing in customer experience, service quality management, retail banking, sales network management, and business development. During this period, he participated in numerous projects focused on enhancing customer-centric approaches, improving service standards, optimizing operational processes, and implementing quality management systems.
Since May 2021, Shami Aliyev has served as the Head of the Service Quality Control Department at Rabitabank. During this time, he led strategic initiatives aimed at improving customer satisfaction, enhancing service quality, optimizing internal processes, and developing service standards.
In his new role, Shami Aliyev will focus on strengthening Rabitabank’s marketing strategy, increasing brand value, developing customer-centric marketing solutions, expanding digital marketing capabilities, and further reinforcing the Bank’s market position.
This appointment marks another important step in Rabitabank’s commitment to strengthening its customer-focused approach, implementing innovative marketing solutions, and executing its sustainable growth strategy.
