The insurance coverage amount, which is the sum paid by the insurance company to the property owner in case of an incident, is 25,000 manat in Baku, 20,000 manat in Ganja, Sumgait, and Nakhchivan, and 15,000 manat in other cities and districts.

Voluntary Property Insurance

Insurance against fire and other risks provides full or partial compensation for damage, destruction, or loss of property and garden trees located on its territory (or inside) due to fire or other incidents. Fire insurance covers risks associated with fires, lightning strikes, and explosions of gas and steam boilers used for heating and cooking. These risks can occur in both residential homes and buildings used for commercial and industrial purposes. A standard insurance contract covering these risks can be extended for an additional premium to cover other risks.

Mandatory Vehicle Insurance

This type of insurance involves a premium depending on the type of vehicle, its ownership by legal or physical persons, engine capacity, load capacity, and the number of passengers and varies from 50 to 300 manat. Depending on the presence or absence of claims in previous years (bonus-malus), the insurance premium can be less than 50 manats or more than 300 manats. The insured amount, which is the sum paid by the insurance company to the victims in case of an incident, is 5,000 manat for property damage, and 50,000 manat for health damage (5,000 manat per person), totaling 55,000 manat. This is the only insurance type where the paid amount does not decrease with each claim.

Voluntary Vehicle Insurance

Voluntary vehicle insurance provides full or partial compensation for damage, destruction, theft, or hijacking of a vehicle. This type of insurance covers personal cars, motorcycles, trucks, as well as public transport such as buses and taxis, and vehicles used in agriculture and construction.

Life Insurance in Case of Death

Life insurance in case of death provides for the payment of the insured amount in the event of the insured's death within a specified period. For example, if the insurance contract is for 10 years and the insured dies during this period, the beneficiary will receive the insurance payout. If the insured remains alive at the end of this period, the insurance contract terminates, and no payments are made.
